Professional Activity
In his early career, Russ spent six years in a variety of roles with Goldman Sachs & Co., with the final three years as a Financial Analyst in the Private Wealth Management division. In that role, Russ worked with a team of financial advisors who managed $1.5 billion in assets for approximately 30 families, many of whom held large single stock positions. He was responsible for asset allocation, trade execution and implementing options strategies where appropriate.
Russ has both a JD and an MBA (Magna Cum Laude) from Rutgers University in Camden, NJ and a BA in Economics and Political Science from Rutgers University in New Brunswick, NJ. He is licensed to practice law in both New Jersey and Pennsylvania and is a member of the American Bar Association and the New Jersey State Bar Association, as well as the Estate and Financial Planning Council of Southern New Jersey. He is on the Alumni Steering Committee of the Rutgers Center for Corporate Law and Governance.
Russ resides in Lumberton, NJ with his wife, Michelle, and their three children, Charlotte (10), Caroline (7) and Chip (3). He spends his free time unsuccessfully trying to come up with ways to get some free time, though he does occasionally squeeze in a bike ride or help out at his daughters’ softball games. The family looks forward to a week in Stone Harbor, NJ at the end of each summer.
